Experience Auraria

Experience Auraria was a fast-paced campaign to further integrate the campus into downtown Denver by providing free community events. Primarily being an educational space, the current stakeholders of the Auraria Campus are the students, faculty, and staff that attend, reside, or work there. Due to its proximity to downtown Denver and new and future Denver attractions, there was a need for the Auraria Campus to provide more services to off-campus individuals.
In congruence with the campaign’s goal, I created a friendly and playful brand that could be quickly adapted to different formats as needed. The primary graphic links the campus to downtown Denver by integrating the historic Tivoli Student Union with iconic buildings from the Denver skyline.
While designing, I worked closely with the Marketing & Campus Relations Director on the overall look and the language involved in the design. This campaign had a broad range of marketing materials capturing the attention of both on-campus and off-campus audiences, for example, signage, digital and printed flyers, and a month-long print and digital advertising campaign. I also acted as the production designer to ensure all printed items were produced in a timely and high-quality manner.
